| During college when homeless guys would come up to me and ask for money, I'd give them subway stamps, usually a card with like 3 or 4 stamps on it. I'd say, "Here ya go. All you need is a few more for a free sandwich!" Now, said homeless guy is asking people outside of, and nearby, subway for subway stamps. After whatever amount of time that day, homeless guy finally has accrued the requisite 10 or 12 stamps for his scrumptious free sandwich. In what I can only imagine was a moment of triumph and accomplishment for homeless guy, he enters the subway and orders his FREE sandwich. He picks out all the toppings he wants, and the employee prepares it for him. Employee finishes the sandwich, and the the two move down to the register. Employee tells homeless guy the amount due, and homeless guy proudly pulls his ace from his hip pocket. The completed subway stamp card! "I got dis here card says I git a free sannich cuz I got all da stamps", states homeless guy Employee irkedly replies, "I'm sorry sir, but if you read the bottom of the card you will see that it requires you to purchase a medium drink to receive your free sandwich. That will be $1.10" Homeless guy is back where he started, asking people for change again.
